Impact of Global Warming
Global warming is; ‘the gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere, due to increase in its level of carbon dioxide and other pollutants.’ Extreme weather events, rise in the sea-level and a plethora of diseases are some of the serious concerns, which have drawn attention of policy-makers and scientists. It has a number of negative effects too.
Present modest work is an attempt to deal with a range of issues and angles, concerning global warming, under one cover. It has been prepared, with a view to encapsulating all, that is directly or indirectly related to the problem.
This work, in particular, discusses various impacts of global warming. Hopefully, it would cater to the needs of the scholars, researchers, policy makers, scientists, academics and of course general readers.

Wamiq F. Rahman, a former senior most bureaucrat in UP Government, is a double post-graduate in Humanities. He is an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University, Rohelkhand University and Indira Gandhi National Open University. Of late, during his post-retirement days, he has developed a keen interest in environmental matters and has devoted himself to the cause of saving earth from various natural and human made hazards. He is proactive in raising various issues, relating to climate change. This work on Global Warming, positively exposes his genuine concerns, regarding the menace, humanity faces today. Further, he is working on his next project on: Prevention of Global Warming. He is based in Lucknow.
